Underground Ruler
Reverberated calls echo against these walls,
Countless clashes against my temple when they pass
Through them;
And an equal blow against my core,
Like the running of intestines:
Slow and deliberate pains.
Instead of despairing
I simply exhibit wild and fanatical merriment!
And although I've come to understand
The earthworms, and the maggots have consoled me,
I feel as though I got to know Liberty as well,
And every time she catches my gaze
I find company in her flustered, red cheeks.
If this is duality then call me omniscient
For I truly know all.
Even if I lay deep in the ground,
Perhaps I will be ruler within these walls
Which reverberate my calls.
