Between Gods & Humans

Silent creaks and shifting weights

Guide stirring souls

Left and right, back and forth

Like a burdened swingset.

I smile easily

When I remember that the same rites I perform

That appease gods and goddesses

Still leave mortals dismayed.

  1. At times, decisions are hard to make. Depending on the decision, you may be choosing between human and mortal desires or ones that take a sort of divine strength and deep insight to make. No decision is as simple as described above, and even if you do make the "right" decision, it may not have been the preferred decision for another. It's so hard to see truth in anything and it gets easy to get caught up in the details. Even a person who operates purely on logic, is still only limited by the information he has received. If this information is wrong, even the most logical decision can go wrong. So when we have to make a decision, which one will be the right one? In this convoluted process of decision-making, I don't have any answers to the question proposed, except to say to make a decision and accept the outcome.
